With 600-850 muscles in the human body, muscles are broken into three categories: smooth, cardiac, and skeletal. Smooth muscles are involuntary because you can’t control them. Smooth muscles are found in the stomach, bladder, and other varies organs. Cardiac muscle is like skeletal muscle in make up, but only found in the heart. Skeletal muscles are voluntary muscles you can control. Skeletal muscles are found in arms, legs, etc. The discrepancy of how many muscles a human has is because experts define muscles differently.
