There are many kinds of ecosystems. An ecosystem is usually defined as a community where different species interacts with each other and the nonliving environment and can be as small as a puddle or as large as an entire forest. Though there are countless examples of this, Earth’s biosphere is often classified into communities of vegetation and organisms known as biomes. The major biomes consist of Marine, Freshwater, Desert, Forest, Grassland and Tundra. Each of these also has subdivisions with differing characteristics.
