More than can fit in a controllable environment. Cows produce more methane than carbon dioxide, which is a more volatile greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. On average, a farm cow produces 200-400 quarts of methane gas per day. This is enough to be viable to capture and use as fuel for power plants.
