How many California Condors live in the wild?

    From a completely captive population, California Condors began to be released back into the wild in 1992. The number in the wild, as of July of this year, is 180. Of these, 89 are actually in California, 75 in Arizona, and 16 in Baja. Along with the captive population, the total number as far as we know is about 360.
