In the normal adult hand there are 26 bones, 7 in the wrist and 19 in the fingers and thumb. All of our wrist bones aren’t fully formed until age 6 or 7. Some sources say 27 bones, so I assume there are two bones in the wrist that are sometimes considered fused and sometimes seperate.
