A coffee plant typically produces 1 to 2 pounds of coffee beans. I couldn’t find any info on average bean number but 1 to 2 pounds would be quite a few beans.
A mature coffee tree produces about one pound of beans each year. One pound equals about 4000-4500 beans. There are about 42 expresso beans used to make a single shot of espresso. Some species of coffee trees can produce beans for over 25 years if they are well tended to.
