There are two batteries in a Prius. One is a 12 volt lead-acid battery that is common in all cars found on the road. The other is the main hybrid driving battery that is found in all electric vehicles. This battery has changed over the years and a different version is found in the 1997, 2000, 2004, and 2010 models.
There are only 2 batteries in a Prius. One is the standard car battery while one is their own special hybrid battery. This battery is able to store electrical energy generated by the car which means it uses less gas.
