There are currently 368 marine species on the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List. This is a list that are either endangered or vulnerable to extinction. 95 of these species are considered endangered. 41 of them are considered critically endangered. Three endangered marine species include the loggerhead turtle, the blue whale and the hooded seal.
