There are currently six kingdoms: plants, animals, archaebacteria, eubacteria, fungi, and protists. The animal kingdom is the largest kingdom and the plant kingdome is the second kingdom. Protists are unicellular organisms but are not considered a part of either bacteria kingdoms because they are made up of complex cells.
The animal kingdom can be split into two groups: vertebrates and invertebrates. Around 800,000 species have been identified in the animal kingdom but there are still countless that go undiscovered and perhaps will never be found.
