As of the end of 2007, there are 6,260 known amphibian species. However, this number changes rapidly, since scientists discover around 50 new species of amphibians per year. Another factor affecting the number of amphibian species in the world is their decline in recent years due to habitat loss and over-harvesting.
If you are asking how many amphibians there are right now. There are essentially an innumerable amount of them. As valeriec has said though, the numbers of each species are decreasing because of various problems like climate change, habitat loss, etc. Since it is a big possibility that we do not even know all the different kinds of frogs there are since, not all the species that currently exist today have been discovered, it is hard to give an exact number for you.
