According to a 2003-2004 study, Brazil had 21,520,000 hectares of soybean fields. This is approximately 53,177,078 acres.
Soybeans are Brazil’s largest crop. In Brazil’s two largest growing states, Mato Grosso and Parana, the 2009 season is expected to yield 64 million tons and over 25 million acres, representing roughly half of the country’s soybean production. With this, it can be said that Brazil boasts roughly 50 million acres of soybean fields.
