    There are over 106 million acres currently protected by the Wilderness Act. These lands are administered by the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Bureau of Land Management. The National Park Service oversees the most wilderness-designated areas, with over 43 million acres designated wildnerness on National Park Service land.
