Government statistic state that roughly 400,000 Aboriginal Australians are left in the country, or about 2% of the population.  There are between 500-600 different groups of Aboriginals in Australia.  They are all connected through their history with Australia and their spiritual connections with the land.  Aboriginals migrated to Australia from somewhere in Asia over 30,000 years ago.
