It depends on the amount of propane in your tank, the size and efficiency of the grill, and how high a flame you’re using. The best answer I’ve seen gave a formula for calculating it based on btus. If you divide the number of btus your propane contains by the btu of the appliance, you get the number of hours the propane will last if you’re running the appliance on full. A 20 lb cylinder contains about 430,000 btus of energy.
