The venom of a black mamba can potentially kill a human within 20 minutes depending on the health, size, and age of the human that was bit. Death usually occurs within 30-60 minutes of being bitten and has been to know to last as long as 3 hours. The venom of a black mamba is mainly neurotoxin and one bite can deliver between 100-120 mg of venom, 10-15 mg. is deadly to a human. Symptoms from the bite of a mamba snake include rapid dizziness, coughing or difficulty breathing, and erratic heart beat.
