How long have Redwood trees been on earth?

Well, Redwood’s are probably the world’s most tenacious living species. It is almost hard to fathom looking at anything alive that is over 25 centuries old and there has been evidence that they have been around for over 10 million years. Some species have managed to survive through what dinasaurs could not.

Redwood trees are one of the oldest known living species. They have been around since before the dinosaurs and have outlived them by 70 million years. There is no tree that can compare to the mass of the giant sequoia.
