How long has the tiger been endangered?

    EVer since the middle of the twentieth century, the tiger population has been steadily decreasing in all parts of the world. In India, the tiger population has dwindled down to about two thousand and about 200 in Nepal. This is mainly due to tiger hunting which has been increasing in the past half-century.
