Ozone Depletion has been a worry of scientists for about four decades now. Beginning in the 1970s, scientists began to observe a thinning of the Ozone layer of about 4 percent decline per decade. This phenomenon has been a product of the increased greenhouse effect the Earth is experiencing and has allowed normally benign UV light to reach the Earth’s surface because it is not being blocked by the Ozone in the atmosphere.
