How long is germination period for peanuts?

Peanut plants have flowers and pods; the flowers bloom above ground and the pods below ground. The flowers bloom about 30-40 days after the plant emerges from the soil. It takes about 9-10 weeks for the pods to be ready. Peanuts require warm weather in order to grow and therefore must have at least 120 frost free days in order for the germination process to be complete.
