Rabbit gestations, or the length of time it takes to have babies, is typically only 21-38 days.  No wonder there are so many!

For rabbits, the gestational period is only about 28- 31 days. On average, it takes 31 days from the time that rabbits breed to the time they actually have the litter. A typical litter size is generally 1-4 kits for smaller breeds, 5-8 for medium breeds, and can be as high as 10 or 15 for larger breeds.
