A male is fully mature at 10-11 years and a female at 5-6.
A polar bear will take solid food when they are five months old, but are not fully weaned for 2-3 years. They usually live to be about 25 years old, and the oldest bear found so far lived to be 43.
Female polar bear cubs will reach their full grown adult size by about age 5 or 6. Male polar bear cubs continue to grow until they are about 10 or 11 years old. This is most likely because male polar bears are generally almost double the weight of their female counterparts.
