Paper takes approximately two to four months to decompose. It has a shorter decomposition time than other materials. Much of our trash could be eliminated through recycling instead of letting it waste in the landfills.
It takes paper about 2 to 4 weeks to break down, but thicker types of paper take longer. For instance, a paper bag takes 1 month, and cardboard takes 2 months.
