How long does it take for a lack of rainfall to be considered a drought?

    A drought is when a period of at least a few months has gone by without the expected amount of rainfall. A drought can be declared in a three of four months or after a few years. Droughts do not immediately imply urgency, but overtime if the drought keeps going on, then it becomes quite serious.
