How long does it take a blue whale to reach maximum size?

Blue whales are difficult to study so not a lot is known about them for sure. But between the ages of 6 and 10 years (when they reach sexual maturity)  they’re already 80 feet long! This is about as big as blue whales in the northern hemisphere ever get, so for them I’d say it takes 10 years to reach their max size, maybe a little longer.

But blue whales in the southern hemisphere can get up to 100 feet long, and I have no idea how long it takes them to reach that size. Blue whales live for 35-40 years total, so obviously it’s not longer than that.
