How is an inch of rainfall computed?
Well it really depends on how hard it’s raining. In Arizona, where we have monsoons, some days it will rain and inch or two in a matter of hours. On the other end of the spectrum, in california, you can get a light rain that will last all day and barely accumulate an inch or two. So it all really depends on how heavy the rain is coming down.
