    Provided that they don’t get eaten first, an earthworm can live 4-8 years in the wild.  They can live up to 10 years in a laboratory.

    Scientists say that earthworms can live between 4 – 8 years but most garden varieties can only live up to one year. The average lifespan in the wild for earthworms is usually around six year.
