Women tend to grow at a much slower rate after having their first period but can continue growing (at a comparatively much slower rate) through their teen years and even into their early twenties. Different sources will give you different caps for height growth, but the claim that women stop growing (for the most part) within a year after their first term seems widely accepted.
Young girls usually grow until they are between 16 – 18 years old. Everyone is different but usually around this time. Girls grow faster then boys and mature faster then boys. Boys don’t usually stop growing until they are around 20 – 21. How well children are fed, how much sleep they get (your body grows while you are sleeping), how healthy they are, these things all affect growth rate.
