It is estimated that the maximum longevity for female toadlets is about 13 years and the maximum longevity for male toadlets is 11 years. It is estimated that about 5% of the breeding population of toadlets is greater than 10 years old.
Houston toadlets only lives for about 2-3 years, so I think it depends on the species. First-year toadlets and juveniles are active year round under suitable temperature and moisture conditions and their diet consists mainly of insects and other invertebrates.
This depends on the species and where the frog is native to. Some toadlets remain in this stage for longer because of temperature or threats of predators in the adult life stage. Most toadlets move quickly onto adulthood so they can begin breeding and reporducing for themselves.
