How long do teak trees take to reach maturity to harvest in Costa Rica

    The teak trees in Costa Rica mature and are harvested between the ages of 20 and 25 to keep prices down.  Generally it’s desirable to harvest teak trees when they’re older; in Asia the teak is harvested between the ages of 60 and 80.
