Depends on the species of spider in question! Most spiders do not carry their young with them, but the common wolf spider does. The Wolf Spider does not build webs like most spiders, and the female will carry the egg sac with her for 9-27 days. After the spiderlings hatch, they will ride on her back for just a few weeks, before they are large enough to hunt on their own. My research indicates that this is about 2-3 weeks.
