How long do rechargeable batteries last?

Most rechargeable batteries have a life span between 500 and 800 charge-discharge cycles. For the average person, this works out to somewhere between 1-1/2 years to 3 years.

1 1/2 – 3 years. If a rechargeable battery that usually lasts 2 hours starts only working for 1 hour, it is time for you to get a new rechargeable battery.

Depends on brand and how regularly you charge your batteries. A Uniross rechargeable battery is able to lat 3 years before you have to throw it out.

A few factors contribute to shortening recharagable battery life.  This includes overcharging, which can damage the battery, as well as fast charging rather than a slow charge overnight.  Rechargable batteries are similar to LED lights in that they don’t just go out all at once, but rather their capacity gradually decreases over time.
