The average life expectancy in China is 73.1 years in 2008. The number rose 5.1 years from 1990.
The overall rise is good but is much lower than expected considering the vast improvement in overall lifesyle in 18 years. Although fewer people live in poverty, pollution and obesity are rising rapidly in China. Not to mention the terrible air and water pollution probelms the country is now faced with.
