There are some solar panels that still continue to function even after 40 years of use. However, studies show that after over 20 years of use, most solar panels dip to less than 80% efficiency. So perhaps the most realistic answer is 20 years. This would make sense since most warranties are around the same span.
Yes realistically solar panels last 25 years and batteries last 10 years. You typically have warranties for the life span of the panels from the manufacturers and the installation company that installs the panels will have a labor and service warranty for 1-5 years.
