People take all different lengths of showers… but a 10 minute long shower will typically use between 70 to 100 gallons of water. Taking shorter showers and using more efficient shower heads can reduce water usage a lot. Taking a shower is much more environmentally friendly than taking baths as they require much more water typically.
Estimates vary, but the average length is somewhere between five and ten minutes. As of 1999, people showered on average less than ten minutes a day, and spent about 35 minutes in the bathroom daily.
