The Joshua Tree, or Yucca brevifolia, has a long lifespan compared with other plant species and a moderate growth rate. However, the tree lacks the annual growth rings that most trees have, making it difficult to precisely determine a Joshua Tree’s age. However, the average lifespan of a Joshua Tree is believe to be 150 years, though some are believed to live as long as 300 or even 500 years.
