There is no exact amount of time to determine when to pick avacados from trees. One method is to pick one of the fruits and store it at room temperature until it softens. Once it matures, check the texture of the skin to see whether it’s tough and leathery or not. If not, then the fruit is ready to eat!
I have heard that they actually won’t get ripe on the tree. That they need to be picked to let it ripen.
