How long can lobsters live if they are undisturbed by humans?

Like many other large marine invertebrates, lobsters can live a surprisingly long time. The average lifespan for lobsters in undisturbed populations is 50 years. In some cases, however, they can live even longer than that. One lobster off the coast of Canada is thought by scientists to have been 100 years old or more.
