A hippo’s mouth is filled with teeth yet only a few are visible to the average onlooker. The visible ones are its curved lower canine teeth and are very similar to elephants’ tusks because of their ivory like qualities. These teeth continue to grow throughout the hippo’s life and can reach to be three feet long!
A hippo’s teeth can get upto 28 inches (72 cm) long.
