Anacondas can live anywhere from 15 – 30 years, sometimes longer. There are more anacondas that make it to 20-30 years in captivity than in the wild.

Anacondas are very strong creatures. Most animals have a relatively short lifespan in the wild but Anacondas can live up to 15 years but on average will reach about 11. However, in captivity, it has been shown that animals thrive in relation to lifespan. They are removed from all forms of predators and given every bit of assistance they could need. Animals that take to captivity can live 10 more years than expected in the wild. Anacondas have been known to reach up to the age of 20 in captivity.
