Alligators can live for up to 50 years! The size of an alligator generally keeps it safe from predators.

Alligators in the wild can live 50 years. After they have reached 4 feet in length, their only predators are human and perhaps other alligators of their caliber. Very old age for an alligator is around 68 years, though it is rare for an alligator to live that long.
