How is LEED certification different than other building codes?

    The LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) certification is a green building certification system. Building codes are adopted on determined safety levels for a building while LEED certification is based on “a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.”
