In some ways, the “Apps” that can be downloaded save time commuting from point A to point B providing on-the-go directions, GPS etc, saving CO2 emissions from people getting lost and driving around aimlessly. Also, people can check out maps from their phone, saving paper for printouts and paper-based maps. Now, the phone can also be used as a touch pad for many newer computers running the latest OS’. If these technological advances keep being made, the iPhone could very well replace many existing technologies.
