How is hydrogen fuel made?

Hydrogen fuel is made through the process of steam methane reforming, which is a “catalytic process that involves reacting natural gas or other light hydrocarbons with steam to produce a mixture of hydrogen and carbon dioxide.”

I’m no scientist, so hopefully someone with a little more expertise could better put this into words for people like brogan23 and myself. Thanks!
