Kangaroo can jump up to 10 ft high. They can also hop at speeds of 40 mph.
A kangaroo can jump over 10ft obstacles. It can hop around as fast as 40mph. Their long tail helps them balance while hopping and also serves as a prop when they “box” with other kangaroos.
According to National Geographic, red kangaroos can jump up to six feet high at once. They are also able to span a length of 25 feet in a single jump, and move faster than 35 miles per hour. They grow to be about five feet tall and weigh close to 200 pounds, but their ability to jump comes from their powerful back legs. The legs also must move together at all times, requiring the kangaroo to hop everywhere.
