If you’re referring to electricity from nuclear power plants, it was 19.7% of all United States electricity generation in 2008, which is about one fifth. This was slightly lower than natural gas (21.4%), with coal providing almost a half (48.7%), and the rest coming from hydro, oil, and renewables. The data for 2009 is very similar. In actual amounts, nuclear power produced 670 million megawatthours in 2008 (667 million in 2009).
