Recycled materials, sustainable and energy efficient products are being promoted to developers and contractors. Green neighborhoods are being built encouraging people to buy a home that is LEED certified allowing the value of one’s home to increase.

There is such a demand for sustainable development and sustatainable retrofits that green building has become much more mainstream in our housing infrastructure. There are now many resources for home owners, architects, construction companies etc. to find out how to make their practices more green. One example is Boston’s Nexus Green Building Resource Center. Nexus is a place where anyone can go to learn more about green building, green materials/products, LEED, etc.
