How has wind influenced the events of history?

Well, if the wind wasn’t as strong, or if we had no wind (setting aside that impossibility) we wouldn’t have begun to sail the seas, and as such, wouldn’t have discovered the Americas till much later. We now use wind power for energy, so there’s that aspect also.

Storms ride on wind currents and many battles have been won because of the sudden onset of storms.

Radiation can be carried on the wind, spreading the devastation of nuclear blasts.

Winds can carry seeds, effecting agriculture and creating cross polination.
