How green is it to only shower once a week?

That’s an interesting question. I think a week is too long personally. One can become quite smelly during that time.

Current shower heads are around 2.5 gallons of flow per minute. If you took one shower a day for 5 minutes (a green standard), you would use up about 87.5 gallons of water a week. This as opposed to 12.5 from the one shower. So on average you would save 75 Gallons of water a week. That’s 3910.71 Gallons a year saved. It seems pretty green but it is a choice that is hard to practice for most modern environmentalists.
