How green do people have to be to make a difference?

People only have to make small changes in their everyday lives to make a big difference. For example, did you know that fixing a leaky faucet can save up to 20 gallons of water a day that would have otherwise been wasted? Also, “replacing standard faucets and showerheads with low-flow versions will help a family of four save 20,000 gallons a year.” Washing clothes in cold water can help eliminate 500 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions a year. You can also save a lot of money and energy just by turning the thermostat just two degrees up or down.
