Sprint claims that its Reclaim phone is made of 80% recyclable materials, with 40% of its casing made from bio-plastic materials extracted from corn. The packaging box is made of recycled paper, and the ink in the user manual is soy-based. The company is also donating $2 of each phone sold to the Nature Conservancy’s Adopt-an-Acre program. Considering that’s more than most other cell phones companies are doing, I would say this is a pretty good green effort.
